2026-2027 Season Timeline

Key dates for registration, evaluations, team formation, practices, and the regular season

Date	Milestone	Details
September 19, 2026	Website Development Begins	Begin building the new Southernmost Hockey Club website and preparing the online registration system.
October 1, 2026	Registration Opens	Registration goes live for the 2026-2027 Southernmost Hockey Club season.
November 11, 2026	Registration Closes	Season registration closes. Final player counts and age divisions will be reviewed.
November 14, 2026	Skill Evaluations & Jersey Fittings	All registered players, across all age divisions, will participate in skill evaluations and jersey fittings.
Week of November 16, 2026	Weather / Make-Up Evaluations	Additional skill evaluation sessions will be held as needed if the November 14 evaluation day is affected by rain or weather.
Thanksgiving Break	Team Formation & Coach Assignments	Teams will be created based on evaluation results with the goal of creating balanced, competitive, and fun teams. Teams will then be assigned to coaches.
Week of November 30, 2026	Practices Begin	Team practices begin and continue until Winter Break.
Winter Break	Practice Pause	Regular team practices pause for Winter Break.
Week of January 4, 2027	Practices Resume	Team practices resume following Winter Break.
Week of January 4, 2027	10-Game Regular Season Begins	The first week after Winter Break begins the 10-game regular season schedule.

• Playoffs / Championship Weekend: TBD and addressed as needed based on the final game schedule, weather, and rink availability.

• Picture Day: TBD and addressed as needed.

• Sponsor Recognition: TBD and addressed as needed throughout the season.

• End-of-Season Celebration: TBD and addressed as needed based on the final season schedule.
